 Skill Balance Update

High Path changes came a bit sooner than expected. Your damage is now a combo of speed+int and you automatically get 3 rounds of TT.

They made some changes to the speed attribute so I am not 100% sure if it still determines who opens. Here are some early thoughts...

A speed/int balance should do us good against Dark Elf assassins
Armor is more important than ever, item amp gives +50% boost to armor attributes, 12.5% to weapons
Its still possible even with the slight nerf to item amp to achieve very good TT damage, I can get to over 800 int+speed


Please post your thoughts and test results in the forums. Also - if you want to test a build against another specific build PM 'Sith' in the game.

I don't like the 3 turn limit at all Sad
It's kinda ok that you can max your dmg and still get 3 turns, but I'd rater do a little less dmg to make it couple of turns longer.

Right now I am

Strength 10
Speed 40
Intelligence 115
Perception 30
Stamina 10
Resist 10

And I seem ok wandless going for quick kills. The new bump to resist with staff focus is making firestorm dangerous...only a matter of time before that gets nerfed but so far I am throwing 3-4 firestorms at round 5-6 to end it one way or another.... 5-1 on the ladder

i too am now frustrated with 3 rounds only of talaks, they should've done the same with insects to keep it fair. now i'm trying to find a good combination again-- looks to me a wand is useless against other mages. i've respected to a 100 percent intel build, i'm going to have to get more armour. any suggestions?

@Kacktress - those are probably taking into account mind amp for int...but that is what i show with no load out

Also I am not saying this will last if the devs 'tweak' anything else...but ditch the wands and go 5/5 staff focus....28-6 on the ladder and 8 tourney wins last night... maybe its just a lucky streak for me but so far so good.

Combine that with 3 or 4 rounds of good actions (ice blast etc) and then throw some firestorm in there

I can get 834 speed and int with only a sink mask for -130. We'll see how that works out for a bit.
